Synthetic gas, also known as “syngas,” is made from a combination of primarily hydrogen and carbon monoxide through a process called gasification. It serves as a synthetic natural gas that can be used for a wide range of applications.

The primary application for syngas is a fuel source. Many different industries require fuel sources to power equipment or other processes within their space, and syngas is the perfect fuel source to power these processes. Syngas is an ideal source for power generation, in large part due to how much more environmentally friendly it is than traditional fossil fuels. Fossil fuels produce large amounts of pollution and greenhouse gases, which are hurtful for the environment. Syngas, on the other hand, is much cleaner and is even more efficient than fossil fuels, making it the perfect alternative form of power generation to fossil fuels.

To produce syngas, a process called gasification is necessary. This process involves taking natural gas, coal, or other feedstocks and applying high pressure and heat in an oxygen-deprived environment. After this process takes place, purification measures are taken to make sure the gas that is produced is usable for different industries.

Without the gasification process, syngas cannot be produced, and this renewable energy source can’t be taken advantage of. We here at A & A Machine & Fabrication LLC supply parts for the gasification process to help contribute to the production of syngas. We can also repair these parts and equipment. If you’re involved in syngas production and need a supply of or repair services for gasification products, be sure to reach out to us today.
